Intimate Wedding at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, London

The bride and groom walk out of the Old Marylebone Town Hall into a storm of brightly coloured confetti thrown at them by their family and friends

Sophie & Ben, like many couples in 2020, had to change their original wedding plans but luckily they didn’t have to change their date. The restrictions at that time allowed them to have 30 people (including themselves and vendors) attend their ceremony & reception. We felt honoured to be included within their 30 nearest and dearest.

They held their ceremony at one of our all time favourite town halls, The Old Marylebone Town Hall. TOMTH were absolute legends during COVID-19. Everything still felt so special and romantic whilst they were keeping everything clean and everyone safe. They’re like a well oiled machine normally anyway so it’s no surprise they handled all the changes the government through at us with ease! Even when the government announced another lockdown they gave it everything they got and worked until midnight to squeeze 27 couples in before the new restrictions.

Even though Sophie and Ben had to downsize their big day it still felt like a huge celebration. When I spoke to Sophie a couple of weeks before the big day she mentioned she was worried her guests might get bored as big parties were not allowed but she had nothing to worry about at all. The wine was following and the evening was filled with everyone just being happy to be out and spending time with each other after months of lockdown. The couple still got to have all the elements of a ‘normal’ wedding, speeches, cake cutting and a first dance.

My favourite type of wedding is the one where you can feel the love, not only between the couple but from all their guests too. We felt like a part of the family by the end of the night and we will never forget this one!

This is what the couple had to say about us —

“Harriett and Chris photographed our wedding in September 2020. We originally found them on Instagram, having seen a wedding they'd previously photographed at our venue and fallen in love with their relaxed, natural style of photography.
As part of our package we did an engagement shoot at a location that was special to us as a couple (which I would really recommend if you've never had professional photos taken before, as my husband and I were so much less shy in front of the camera at our actual wedding.)
2020 was definitely not the best year to be planning a wedding, but Harriett was so kind and reassuring. We kept in touch throughout the lockdown and I felt super confident that despite having to change our original plans we would have beautiful photos of our day (which was still incredible despite COVID-19 restrictions and downsizing!)
On the day they were amazing, so helpful and and our friends and family loved them.
Not to mention, we absolutely LOVE our wedding photos!” — Sophie & Ben
